Solo Artist Exhibit Program

Since 1968 the Alaska State Museum has featured the work of Alaska artists in solo exhibitions
of their work. Artists statewide are invited to apply, and are selected through a highly-competitive
process-in 2002, the museum selected six artists from a field of fifty-five. When funds are available,
the museum often purchases work from the show for its permanent collection.
