Contemporary Native Art and Ceremonies

In addition to early artifacts, the museum also collects contemporary Alaska Native art. To reflect ongoing ceremonial traditions, items used and distributed at modern Native ceremonies are also added to the collection. All together, this material represents the evolution of modern Alaska Native culture.
