"Made in Alaska"

Natural resource development has, from the Russian period to present, driven Alaska's economy. Fur, fish, timber, gold, and oil exports have, over two centuries, generated billions of dollars. As prices fluctuate and resources are depleted, new products are developed--both for consumption in Alaska and Outside. The museum collects product samples and packaging to show the diversification of Alaska's economy.
