Rasmuson Art Acquisition Initiative

In 2003 and 2004, the Alaska State Museum has received the generous support of the Rasmuson Foundation in building a collection of contemporary fine art by Alaska artists. Working through Museums Alaska, a statewide organization supporting museums, and with the support of the Friends of the Alaska State Museum, the museum has acquired several dozen works representing a wide range of types of work and media. .
